Katherine and I have been dating for some time now and I want to make this the best Christmas for her.

Well, it really depends on how you feel. If you really think you'll be taking the relationship to a higher level, maybe a promise ring of some sort? Kind of like an "engaged to be engaged" thing.

If not, then something relatively expensive should do the trick. Perfume, a good piece of jewelry, something like that. If you're going to splurge, now would be the best time to do it.
